Begin your foraging career, or refresh old knowledge with helpful hints, trade secrets and tips for a successful forage. Over a couple of hours we will look at a manageable, selection of plants that can be used to add interest and difference to your daily diet and give you some knowledge to show off next time you have a picnic or walk with friends!
On average, depending on the time of year and weather condition we will look to find a varied selection of plants, trees and items for a successful forage.
You are welcome to take photos and make notes, however, to make it easier for you I will write up and provide you with a comprehensive list of our discoveries and their uses along with photos and other information after the workshop.

It will include (not limited to)
- Identification of common and safe edible wild plants, trees and fungi.
- Identification of toxic or dangerous species
- How to use field guides and keys.
- Foraging equipment and resources.
- Laws around foraging.
- Sustainable collection and preservation.
The event will start in Le petit verger, in Bonnes 16390 (the little orchard) where we will start our introduction to foraging, looking at resources and tools that are beneficial to the forager. We will then take a tour of the orchard followed by a journey of approximately 4km looking at more varied habitats in the immediate environment.

- If you have dietary needs that will have an impact on your ability to consume wild food please let the instructor know, consumption is entirely voluntary and at the participants own risk.
- The types of plants and volume of plants that we will encounter are dependant on the time of year and weather conditions.
